Approved schemes
If you've done the four state aid tests and established that state aid may be an issue for you, next you need to determine whether the aid you want to provide is covered by an existing approved scheme, or can be awarded using existing European Commission guidelines and frameworks.

Schemes approved under guidelines
The Scottish Green Bus Fund was approved under the Environmental Aid and Energy Guidelines on 28 July 2016.
The Forestry Co-operation Scheme was approved under the Community Guidelines for State Aid in the Agriculture and Forestry Sectors 2014 to 2020 on 1 March 2016.
The QMS Meat Quality Promotion Scheme was approved under the European Union Guidelines for State Aid in the Agriculture and Forestry Sectors 2014 to 2020 on 13 June 2017.
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency River Restoration Compensation Scheme was approved under the Community Guidelines for State Aid in the Agriculture and Forestry Sectors 2014 to 2020 on 25 November 2016.
