Notes
Childminder figures are based on a sample of registered childminders. In 2008 and 2009, those responding to say they were still childminding have been weighted up to the total number of registered childminders in Scotland excluding those listed by the Care Commission as inactive. In 2010, this question was not asked so the figures have been weighted up to the total number registered childminders in Scotland excluding those listed by the Care Commission as inactive, based on all childminders who responded to the survey (regardless of whether they were still childminding or not). More detail on the methodology used is available in the background notes.
Percentages are rounded to the nearest whole percent to express the uncertainty inherent in these figures. For this reason, totals may not exactly equal the sum of their parts.
Qualifications include those at an equivalent level - see background notes for details.
