A review of strategic activities undertaken in 2023-2024 to improve Scotland's cyber resilience.
Key Areas of Progress in Scotland’s Cyber Resilience during 2023 and 2024
- 77% of public sector Boards have received appropriate training on cyber awareness during 2023/24, ensuring cyber risk is being managed at senior levels and as a business risk
- 52,500 Primary 1 pupils received a copy of a storytelling book introducing basic concepts of passwords and passcodes at an early age
- Cyber resilience is now part of initial teacher training
- Over 150 public sector organisations access our cyber intelligence bulletins keeping them alert to the cyber threat, enabling them to respond more quickly
- Over 200 public sector IT staff accessed Scottish Government funding for cyber upskilling, building the skills base across our public sector organisations
- 30 Secondary Schools in Scotland achieved Cyber First status, helping to build the future talent pipeline
- Over 80% of space technology companies in Scotland have achieved Cyber Essentials (CE) or equivalent demonstrating a baseline protection in cyber security across the Scottish space ecosystem
- Over 160 events took place across Scotland during CyberScotland Week, helping to improve the nation’s cyber health.
