Overview
This was the sixth meeting of the Trauma Responsive Social Work Services (TRSWS) Expert Advisory Group. The purpose of this meeting was to inform the group of what is happening nationally and locally and to seek views of members.
Introductions, welcome and apologies
The meeting began by the Chair noting apologies from members. All members gave brief introductions.
Note of previous meeting and website update
The group approved the meeting note previously by email. SG provided a brief update on progress to update websites and agreed to provide a walkthrough at the next group meeting.
TRSWS update and meet the team
TRSWS Programme Lead provided an update on actions within the Work Plan. The TRSWS Implementation and Learning Team provided further information on their role and previous practice experience.
Local trauma connections
Improvement Service’s National Improvement Lead provided input on the work they are currently involved in supporting local areas, including supporting trauma champions, and highlighting the community of practice.
Social work Advanced Practice Framework (APF)
An SG colleague leading on the Advanced Practice Framework for social work provided context on the reasons why social work needs a framework, and how the APF will help address challenges facing social work.
Updates on local activity
Group members provided updates on work which is progressing in their local areas to embed changes within their social work services.
Resilience Learning Partnership provided a brief update on their work progressing at a national and local level.
Any other business
TRSWS team will reach out to update membership to include more frontline experience.
