Scotland's results from the UK Innovation Survey 2023, covering the three-year period from 2020 to 2022


Context for Innovation

Broader innovators were asked about the importance of various factors to their decision to innovate.

Figure 8: In both Scotland and the UK, ‘Improving the quality of goods and services’ was the main driver for innovation. This was rated as ‘high importance’ by the largest percentage of broader innovator businesses.
