Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme in Scotland: statistics - April 2023

Total numbers of visa applications, issued visas and arrivals

According to the latest DLUHC statistics up to 18 April, Scotland has received a total number of 45,365 visa applications, following which, 38,341 visas were issued for those with a Scottish Sponsor (either Scottish Government or Individual).

As of 18 April 2023, a total number of 24,263 displaced people from Ukraine had arrived in the UK on a visa with a Scottish sponsor. The number of arrivals per 100,000 population by UK Nation are:

• 443 displaced people with a Sponsor in Scotland;
• 215 displaced people with a Sponsor in Wales;
• 157 displaced people with a Sponsor in England;
• 49 displaced people with a Sponsor in Northern Ireland.
