Children in education

Scottish Government has published data on the numbers of Ukrainian Displaced Children enrolled in Scottish schools. Following a Scottish Government survey of local authorities, data indicates that as at 26 May 2023, 3,107 Ukrainian children were enrolled in primary and secondary schools across Scotland. Since first reported in September 2022, the number of Ukrainian children enrolled in schools (both primary and secondary combined) were on an increasing trend until January, and has levelled off with some monthly fluctuations since then. More information on how these break down by local authorities can be found on the Scottish Government dashboard. Please note that revisions can be made retrospectively on the dashboard if a local authority submits data after the initial deadline. These will not be reflected in this report.
