Ukrainian nationals entering employment in the UK

A joint publication by DLUHC and HMRC on 25 May 2023 summarised statistics on Ukrainian nationals in employment in the UK. As at March 2023, there were around 3,500 Ukrainian nationals, who registered for a NINo between 4 March 2022 and 31 March 2023, in active employment in Scotland. Of these, 67% were female and 33% were male. The number of Ukrainian nationals in active employment in Scotland has increased from 350 individuals recorded in May 2022 and 2,350 in September 2022.
