Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme in Scotland: statistics - May 2023

Total numbers of visa applications, issued visas and arrivals

According to the latest DLUHC statistics up to 16 May 2023, Scotland has received a total number of 45,575 visa applications, following which, 38,496 visas were issued for those with a Scottish Sponsor (either Scottish Government or Individual).

As of 16 May 2023, a total number of 24,532 displaced people from Ukraine had arrived in the UK on a visa with a Scottish sponsor. The number of arrivals per 100,000 population by UK Nation are:

• 448 displaced people with a Sponsor in Scotland;
• 217 displaced people with a Sponsor in Wales;
• 160 displaced people with a Sponsor in England;
• 54 displaced people with a Sponsor in Northern Ireland.
