Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme in Scotland: statistics - October 2023

Total numbers of visa applications, issued visas and arrivals

According to the latest DLUHC statistics up to 17 October 2023, Scotland has received a total number of 46,643 visa applications, following which, 39,194 visas were issued for those with a Scottish Sponsor (either Scottish Government or Individual).

As of 17 October 2023, a total number of 25,891 displaced people from Ukraine had arrived in the UK on a visa with a Scottish sponsor. The number of arrivals per 100,000 population by UK Nation are:

• 472 displaced people with a Sponsor in Scotland;
• 231 displaced people with a Sponsor in Wales;
• 178 displaced people with a Sponsor in England;
• 69 displaced people with a Sponsor in Northern Ireland.
