13. Enhanced cooperation on development of new gear technology

13.1 The Delegations agreed to cooperate on improving gear technology for the North Sea fisheries, focusing mainly on the protection of juveniles and small fish. To this end they agreed to establish a working group consisting of relevant gear experts. The group should collate existing knowledge, update on their current gear technology status and suggest possible improvements. Furthermore, the group should identify any need for further work. The group should report back to the Delegations on their findings by October 2024. Norway will host the first meeting of the group.
