Visa data by age and sex of applicant
DLUHC published visa data by age and sex of applicant on 23 November 2023. From the beginning of the scheme to 30 September 2023 there were around 5,275 arrivals into the UK with an Individual Scottish Sponsor visa. Of these:
- 1,550 (29%) were aged under 18,
- 3,495 (66%) were aged 18 to 64,
- 225 (4%) were aged 65 and over.
Additionally, to 30 September 2023 there were around 20,480 arrivals into the UK with a Scottish Super Sponsor visa. Of these:
- 4,335 (21%) were aged under 18,
- 15,630 (76%) were aged 18 to 64,
- 525 (3%) were aged 65 and over.
Overall, there were around 25,755 arrivals into the UK with a Scottish Sponsored visa from the beginning of the scheme to 30 September 2023 with an average sex split of 60% female and 40% male, and an average age split of 23% of those aged under 18, 74% aged 18 to 64 and 3% aged 65 and over. Of those who arrived into the UK with a Scottish sponsored visa, approximately 20% had an individual sponsor and around 80% had a Super Sponsor visa.
